Hello, it's me.

Hola! Hello!

Well, this will go down in English (mostly) - this blog or whatever is just me putting thoughts out there that at some point in the future would like to revise, review and analyze my life.  The only reason why I'm choosing English over Spanish is just because of a desire that most of my friends are able to read it but I cannot make a promise that sometimes I will post in Spanish.  Being Spanish my native language makes some ideas come out a bit better, just a FYI.

I'm aiming to at least write a few paragraphs a day, every day of the year, this is something I've been trying to do for many years already but I either forgot to start on Jan. 1st and desist on the idea a few days later, I don't know why this time around would be any different but at least on Jan. 1st I'm writing my first few paragraphs.

Just a brief introduction, I'm Omar, a dumbass that as of today is 37 years old, who was born in the Dominican Republic but has been living in the United States of America since 2008 and now is also a proud American by naturalization.  I got many hobbies and slowly but surely, I will be sharing them with some stories and details on how I ended up liking each one of those activities.

I shall warn though, that I do not have a plan on how to develop all these ideas related to the blog and I've never done one before, so bear with me with the unprofessional and definitely unpolished look it may have the first few 12 months. 

The main idea is to share thoughts about a wide arrange of topics including but not limited to travel, friends, family, fitness, technology, work, videogames, music, movies, theater, animals, and many others.  I cannot promise I won't touch on spiny topics like politics or religion, but I have no intentions to auto censor myself.

Day 18 Sitting down on the computer a bit earlier today particularly to prevent rushing into my ideas because it's too late and tiredness.   Every morning when I sat in my car to drive to work, I normally put my office address on the GPS to prevent (or mentally prepare) for any delay along the way and as "music" I tend to either be listening to "Elvis Duran and the Morning Show" or listening to some YouTube video. Day 79 Social media and their stupid quizzes and posts.  Today I went over my memories in Facebook and found one post from March 2009 where a friend of mine shared.  It was a lame quiz and based on the answers you are supposed to put the subject as: I'm (how old you are) but I act (what you got on the test). Remembering this day in particular

Day 2 Today has been just a regular day as any other day with the advantage that it was also a holiday, is always great not to work on a Monday.  By now, the day was going to end, and I almost failed to write a few paragraphs but here I go.  Nothing major to write about and I won't be going through my daily activities for the sake of writing and bore you with many trivial and unimportant things like: "I cook this" "I went to this place" "I hanged out with..." bla bla bla. I think the major event for today is my 15th anniversary of moving to the USA.  I almost forgot about it but Facebook reminded me of past posts and well, it was a nice reminder because it made me think on how much I've accomplished since moving here, from gaining total independence from my parents to creating a life, that, with its ups and downs, is at a point of relative pure joy.  It does, however, makes me think of the things I've left behind and the many sacrifices, worrie...
