Day 85

And here I am, wondering how I am going to catch up with the writing.  For the past few weeks, I have been weirdly busy and very drained by the end of the day which haven't helped at all into my writing process.  

At the same time, I feel that few ideas are coming to my head, and I get a general lack of inspiration to put ideas together.  That said, I have come up with a plan to catch up on writing since as of today I'm missing 4 posts, that means that at the very least I need to write twice a day for a few days and I'll be back on track.

Even though few ideas are coming, I do know where I want to push myself to: Travel blogging.  You see, for the past few months, and for the next few months, I'll be traveling extensively for work, and just to count where I've been and where I'm going, here is a short list:  

  • Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic
  • Washington, DC
  • Detroit, MI
  • Chicago, IL
  • New Orleans, LA
  • Chicago, IL (again)
  • Bologne, Italy (possibly)
  • Munich, Germany
  • Sofia, Bulgaria
  • Lienz, Austria
  • Chicago, IL (for Lollapalooza)
There's also a very high chance of visiting Los Angele, CA since I want to go Super Nintendo World and may take a week or two for some additional travel throughout Latin America and just a minor idea in the back of my head, but with a very high chance because I have the miles for it, is to go to Japan, a trip I've been postponing since 2020 and additionally to that, Amsterdam, Netherlands is also a possibility since my parents will be there and had mentioned to me that it would be nice if I could meet with them there.

Anyways, I know I got lot of material to write about, so stay tuned.

Day 64 As mentioned on an earlier post, Sundays are regularly the days I tend to like the least in part because it is the end of the weekend, but also because lately (last few years actually) they have become very straightforward for me: wake up, feed the cats, grab breakfast/brunch, hit the town, maybe hangout with friends, go to the supermarket, and eventually watch some good tv at night.  That's a typical Sunday for me and the reason why I mention this, is simply because the "supermarket" part is the one I am having the biggest problem with. That stupid social media algorithm

Day 67 Again, I purposely left the writing for the next day.  Last night, by 8:30PM I was lying in bed on an extended petting session with Taco and I finally disconnected from my phone no later than 9:30PM.  Went to bed extremely early (for my standards) and I was able to get a good night sleep which is great news. But anyways, switching topic a little bit, and it does have to do with technology and more specifically with social media and their algorithms on what information they feed you.   You see, I’m a big guy in general, big frame, very tall, etc. and food is one thing that I truly enjoy, that doesn’t mean I eat like crazy, on the contrary, I’m kind of mindful on what I eat/drink especially on week days, but nevertheless the whole idea is that I love eating and food. A Dominican Maestro!

Day 99 Out of all the great artist that have come from the Dominican Republic, no one is bigger or better than the Maestro Juan Luis Guerra and the reasons are abundant.  For the uninitiated, JLG is a musician with about a 40-year long career with mainly Latin rhythms like Merengue and Bachata but also covering Salsa, guaracha, rock, blues and many other. But what makes him amazing?  Well, for me, it all comes down to his craft: the music and lyrics are just amazing, is like a poem made into music and he is not afraid of touching all types of topics: love, pain, breakups, politics, religion, happiness, sadness, joyfulness, sorrow... basically sings of anything at any given time but I do have to highlight that love is his main topic.
